About Dublin Learning Academy's Preschool Program

In our Dublin, OH preschool, we set the foundation for student learning by teaching your child essential skills that they’ll use for the rest of their academic career. Your student will learn how to properly hold a pencil, write their first and last name, and count and write numbers up to 30. We also work on manners, appropriate school behaviors, and building their fine motor skills. Through lesson plans designed around age-appropriate needs and interests, Dublin Learning Academy is able to assist Preschool students as they begin their academic journey.

Rewards & Discipline

Dublin Learning Academy’s Preschool teachers encourage students with behavior charts and lots of praise! Students are rewarded for such things as using gentle hands, sharing, manners, cleaning up, and using good “listening ears.” When a student displays inappropriate behavior, the teacher will use re-direction.

Nutrition

Nutrition

Preschool students bring packed snacks and lunches. Preschool students who come before 8:00 a.m. may bring breakfast to eat at school. Dublin Learning Academy provides milk for Preschool students at meal and snack times. Please note that due to the health risks of students with severe allergies, Dublin Learning Academy has a school-wide peanut-free policy. Microwaves and refrigerators are located in the classroom for food storage convenience. Teachers will remind parents when their child is running low on snacks.

Nap Time

Nap Time

Dublin Preschool students are given the option to nap each day after lunch. Students who nap are assigned their own cot. All bedding is provided by the parent, and we will send home their bedding at the end of the week to be cleaned and returned. Students who do not nap participate in teacher-led activities that support the weekly lesson plan.

At any time, you may opt for your child to transition from taking naps to participating in classroom activities by completing the nap form and returning it to the office.
